Planning Your Work
Are you staying true to your goal?
Most of us get off track so easily. I know this to be true; I’m guilty of it because I am not a perfect person.
So, here are 9 Tips to get you on track.
1. Visual
Look at your business plan and goals daily. Visualize your result. Imagine looking at where you want to be and say it out loud every day.
2. Write
What helps me is my Masterful Purpose daily action planner. I created it to help me stay on track. Writing out your 30 day and yearly goals is a plus. As you plan your work you should pray about every decision that you make. Don’t worry about your decision; that’s just another way to get off track.
3. Meditate
If you have to make a quick decision, give yourself time to ask God to lead you and wait for His guidance.
Keep in mind your goal human, and we all make mistakes.
4. Reevaluate
At the end of every month, look at your intended results. Inspect what we expect. If you don’t inspect what you expect it is easy to get off track.
5. Difference
One difference that I’ve noticed between successful people and people that aren’t successful is they monitor their progress. And if they are not where they aimed to be, they get back on track quickly.
Continue to focus and evaluate your plan.
• Stay on track
• Plan your work
• Visualize your end
• Say it aloud every day
Keep on task. Make it a habit.
I usually start my day with a cup of coffee. So, I’ve incorporated my daily prospecting calls, and before I finish my coffee my tasks are complete.
6. Partner
If you know that you may get off track, get an accountability coach or partner. Somebody will hold you accountable for reaching your goals. It’s easy to slip when you are your boss. But, get yourself a business coach, and you will be sure to accomplish all you set out to do.
7. Your Why
• Be sure to write down your WHY.
• Keep it on your computer or in your planner.
• Never forget your why.
• If you start feeling unaccomplished, read over your why.
8. Human Nature
When I created the Masterful Purpose goal planner, I had problems completing my daily goals. I found myself bunching them up, and next thing I know, I was up all night trying to catch up.
• That’s not a healthy life
• That’s not living life
• That’s not being successful
I make sure to follow what I’ve created. And the results are phenomenal.
9. End of the Day
Get into the habit of looking over your goals list at the end of the day. Check to see how you did with completing your goals and if you stayed on track. By doing this, you are creating a system that will get you closer to the success point that you expected.
Inspect what you expect. You can, Plan your Work, then Work your Plan.
