Fear Not
Are you faced with things that make you unable to move forward in business and life?
I want to provide some tips and tools to help you discover how to overcome the barriers.
One hundred women took a survey I posted asking, “what is your fear?” One of the biggest concerns is a failure.
Nobody wants to fail.
God commands us not to fear. “Fear not “is mentioned 80 times in the Bible. God intends for us to be successful in everything we do.
Trying to rely on self instead of relying on God. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
The enemy uses fear to decrease our hope and limit our victories.
There was a story of a King that I read when I was doing my research. This King was sentencing convicted criminals, and he gave them a choice on how they wanted their sentence carried out. They could die by hanging or choose what was behind the closed door, which was unknown to them. Hanging was their choice. However, the last one to be executed asked the King what was behind the door, for they all had feared it could be a lion. The King told him it was their freedom.
You see, fear kept all those criminals from their freedom.
Making decisions based on fear is the same thing that happens to this day. Fear will stop you from being your most fabulous self.
The definition of fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or a threat. Anxiety is also associated with God, for respect and reverence of Him.
Challenge yourself
Start small with something that is in conjunction with your goal.
Try the ten-minute momentum challenge.
Doing something for ten minutes without stopping will give you the drive to complete it.
Give yourself Consequences.
A consequence is like paying a fine if you don’t accomplish your daily goals to your accountability partner. Make it big. You are therefore confident that you will achieve your goal.
You can also give yourself rewards.
By having specific treats for each accomplished goal. Like, getting your nails done, dinner at your favorite restaurant, etc.
Bigger than you
Your “Why” can override your fear. Nothing is too big for God. He put it inside of you so you can be all that you aim to be.
Your purpose is separate from your passion. But you will be passionate about your mission. Therefore, your love will not be in alignment with your goal.
Analysis Paralysis
Don’t let your fear keep you frozen.
Being frozen is when you are studying something so long that you are not moving forward.
And all you’re doing is working on your plan, instead of planning how you are going to work.
Get in your starting position, then GO!
